⁸ nor did we ^(A)eat ^[a]anyone’s bread ^[b]without paying for it, but with ^(B)labor and hardship we kept ^(C)working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; ⁹ not because we do not have ^(D)the authority, but in order to offer ourselves ^(E)as a model for you, so that you would imitate us. ¹⁰ For even ^(F)when we were with you, we used to command this to you: ^(G)if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.
